When you come for an appointment, you will be asked to provide insurance information so that we may assist you with scheduling tests (mammograms, sonograms, etc,). Also in the unforeseen event that you would need emergency surgery or hospitalization, we need this information on hand so that we can contact your insurance company, helping prevent unnecessary penalties on any reimbursement due to you.
We try to simplify the preparation of insurance claims, thereby holding down the costs that are unrelated to the delivery of good medical care. The receipt we give you at the end of each visit contains all the information needed from the doctor for your insurance carrier to process your claim. If you prefer, we are happy to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf, once the balance is paid in full. In this case, we do indicate that you have paid the bill and any explanation of benefits and reimbursement due should be sent directly from the insurance company to you. Of course, we will be happy to assist you in completing insurance forms whenever you have a question.
